Recently I have been looking for a bit of a change around here on my blog. So I have spent the last few weeks (we just had a two week school holiday) working on a super fun project – moving my blog. I am super happy with the result and am extremely excited to write more blog posts and work on future blogging projects. Here are some of the changes I have made.
Moving My Blog
My Birthday is next week and for an early birthday present my amazing mother bought me my own domain name – www.hellobubblegum.com and I love it! I like the fact that now I own my domain rather than blogger and I also think it looks more professional.
Another move I made is from Blogger to WordPress. I had a look around the internet about it and decided I wanted to make the change. It was also easier for me to do this because my mum has a bunch of wordpress.org sites for businesses and so I had help with stuff from my mum because she knew what she was doing. So far I am loving the change!
Before I moved my blog I hunted around the web for a theme I loved and came across this one on themeforest. I really love all the options you have in wordpress especially when it comes to themes. I love the theme I chose and it was nice not to have to do heaps of time consuming coding to make it look nice unlike in blogger. I also added Disqus to my blog for commenting to hopefully make it easier for everyone to comment so you can check that out at the bottom of this post.
New Social Media
Because I have made all these huge changes for my blog, why not add some more social media to connect with all you lovely people?? I now have Facebook and Twitter (@HelloBubblegum) so if you wanna go message me there it would be fabulous because I would love to find you all over there! I have Instagram (@hellobubblegumblog), Pinterest and you can go follow my blog on bloglovin’ to find out when I post something new on my blog as well. Another way to get in contact with me is through my email firstname.lastname@example.org
